The SSVF program serves individuals in Livingston, Oakland, Macomb, Genesee, Washtenaw, Shiawassee and Ingham Counties.  Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) works with Veterans and families to increase housing stability.  SSVF provides veteran family outreach and case management and assists participants in obtaining VA Benefits and other public benefits.

SSVF provides rental assistance to eligible veterans. The assistance includes:

  • Security deposit
  • Application fee
  • Rental arrearage and late fees
  • Utility assistance
  • Moving expenses
  • Childcare
  • Minor car repair

Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program is part of the initiative by Veteran Affairs to end homelessness among Veterans. SSVF assists those who have served at least one day active duty in military services. This program is designed to assist those who are homeless with rapidly re-housing or transition into permanent housing and those Veterans who are at risk of losing their permanent place of residence.
