Grandparents raising grandchildren find support

According to the 2010 U.S. Census data, 4.9 million children (7 percent) under the age of 18 live in grandparent-headed households. Elaine K. If Kathie Janego were to receive $10,000 as a result of an initiative by a new women's group, she said her nonprofit would have "plenty" to do with it.

The Love In the Name of Christ of the Greater Livingston Area executive director was one of more than 30 women who attended 100 Women Who Care About Livingston County's inaugural event Tuesday at Crystal Gardens in Genoa Township.
