Affordable Assistance lights up homes and hearts this holiday season Posted: December 10, 2012

OLHSA and Affordable Assistance decorated a house in Royal Oak for the holidays last week, and it turned out beautifully.  Lisa Lagrou, editor of the Oakland County Moms website and blog, approached us to ask if we’d like to participate in a contest she was offering her readers.  The contest winner would receive free holiday decorations.  She knew that Affordable Assistance was recently launched and provides a variety of home improvement services, so she thought we’d be a perfect fit to install the lights on the home of the winner.  She was right! And we were happy to be a part of the project.  The winner was Kate Bell, professional photographer and mom of two young kids, who our contractors had the pleasure of meeting on Thursday November 29 when they arrived to install the lights.  The lights were donated by Green Electrical Supply.

After a few hours the house went from being a cute brick bungalow, to a home full of holiday cheer.  What a fun experience at this time of year.  Thank you to Oakland County Moms for letting OLHSA and Affordable Assistance be a part of this!
