NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD ON PROPOSED

FY21 COMMUNITY SERVICES BLOCK GRANT PLAN

Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency (OLHSA) will accept public comments as required by the Michigan Department of Human Services CSBG Plan for FY21. Public comments will be accepted on the OLHSA/CSBG FY21 proposed plan from August 20, 2020 through September 3, 2020.

The plan summary is as follows:

A total of $1,637,859 is planned to be utilized in the Oakland and Livingston service areas for the purpose of helping low-income, elderly, and residents with disabilities in Oakland and Livingston Counties become more self-sufficient and to improve their quality of life. CSBG funds will enable OLHSA to secure resources that improve the condition of affordable housing, secure employment opportunities, bundled services/capacity building, mitigating unique COVID-19 impacts including nutrition, health, income management, emergency services, education, linkages to other programs, and self-sufficiency throughout both counties.

Chavez Ave., Pontiac, MI 48342 at (248)209-2605 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday by September 3, 2020. Alternative formats are available upon request for persons with disabilities. These formats can be provided if notification is given a week in advance.
